Job Duties
Project Manager – The project manager is the primary liaison between PSM partners, clients and creative resources. You will work directly with PSM’s President, Terrie. S. Wheeler, or Partner Michelle Wheeler to serve as the primary client contact. As a PSM project manager you are the “mortar between the bricks” of PSM’s outsourced marketing engagements. You will be responsible for leading and guiding the following activities, based on the client’s strategic marketing plan:
- Advertising – Coordinating any paid advertising clients pursue including
- Assessments and Audits – Coordinate and conduct an SEO, Website, and social media audit using the PSM processes and tools in place
- Associations – Helping clients leverage trade and professional association activities like trade shows, writing for publications, and speaking at events
- Blogging – Manage blog writing (and posting) process; promote blogs on social media and in upcoming communications
- Marketing Budget – Work with partner and client on their annual marketing budget (actuals, variances)
- Client Satisfaction – Client satisfaction and survey initiatives using Survey Monkey or other survey tools used by clients
- Copywriting – Create (or manage the creation of), web page content, blog posts, landing page content, communications, sell sheets, invitations, and any other copywriting required within the client engagement
- Google Reviews – Proactively helping clients get five-star Google reviews
- Graphic Design – Managing graphic design team; communicating specifications and project requirements, developing creative briefs for the writing and design team
- Planning and Implementation of the Strategic Marketing Plan – Working with partner to gather all information for the strategic assessment and create the marketing plan and implementation calendar; actively work with the partner and client to implement the plan
- Individual Marketing – Supporting individual marketing activities for those pursuing marketing coaching with PSM
- Implementation Calendar – Many clients like to see the marketing plan in task and timeline form. Maintain and update the implementation calendar
- Marketing Database – Create and manage the firm’s database (usually MailChimp, Constant Contact, Zoho, HubSpot, etc.)
- Market Research – Conduct various types and levels of market research
- Meeting Management – Create all client meeting agendas, present at meetings, create meeting summary, drive action items and next steps with team
- PowerPoint – Ability to work in PowerPoint, or manage the graphic designers to do so
- Project Briefs – Create a project brief for any project involving multiple PSM resources. This is primarily used with our graphic design and copywriting team (sample available)
- Project Management Calls with Terrie or Michelle –A weekly recurring meeting to discuss your current client work, projects on deck, results, and new projects to pursue
- Proposals – Assisting on proposal initiatives
- Public Relations – Supporting the public and media relations efforts of clients
- Referrals – Helping clients track incoming and outgoing referrals
- SEO Liaison – Work closely with SEO team to direct new content needs to PSM writers, and to manage the implementation of other SEO recommendations
- Social Media – Leading all social media initiatives including curating content, content calendar approvals, and posting social media content using Hootsuite or Buffer on sites including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter (X)
- Targeted Communications – Lead client and referral source targeted communications – manage writing design and distribution, create communication analytics and present to client
- Website Analytics – Present analytics to clients from SEM Rush and Google Analytics that are provided by PSM’s SEO team including quarterly SEO analytics
- Website Development – Manage all website development initiatives using the process PSM has developed
- Website Enhancements – Coordinate website content additions with website developer and SEO team
- Webinars and Virtual Events – Help clients coordinate webinars and other events

PSM Partner Terrie or Michelle (depending on client).
Requirements
- Must be technologically savvy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MailChimp, Constant Contact, Zoho, HubSpot or other programs our clients use)
- Strong project and people management skills
- Very strong writing abilities
- Ability to have warm and personable communications with clients and other PSM resources
- Ability to engage with a virtual team
- Strong ability to manage many tasks at once
- Must be detail oriented and deadline driven
- Marketing experience preferred

Job Duties
Work with PSM’s Content Director to deliver cogent, creative, and informative content for our clients. PSM utilizes Chat GPT in its writing work. Examples of PSM projects that require professional copywriting include:
- Website content including blogs, page content, location landing pages and FAQs
- Biographies
- Print materials such as brochures, flyers, etc.
- Advertisements
- Newsletters
- LinkedIn descriptions
Requirements
- Expert knowledge of English grammar and diction
- Basic understanding of Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
- Ability to match the “voice” of a company
- Adherence to agreed upon project deadlines
- Ability to quickly understand and communicate complex business concepts

Job Duties
- PR Planning – Working with PSM project managers, develop a public and media relations plan designed to identify key media outlets, topics to pitch, other PR strategies to pursue, and tools for measuring the success of the PR efforts.
- Drafting and Editing Press Releases – Many of PSM’s clients are renowned in their industries and often the subject of public recognition. Our Public Relations Specialist must be able to draft enticing, cogent press releases on behalf of our clients.
- Drafting and Editing Pitch Letters – These communications should not be a mere recitation of fact. Rather, these pitch letters should paint a picture of who our client is and why they deserve publicity.
- Distribution – The PR specialist should be able to create custom PR lists for each client (complete with up-to-date contact information). These lists will include journalists, bloggers, editors, and media relations staff. After drafting press releases, you will be responsible for sending drafts to the relevant project manager for review. Once the release is approved, you will be responsible for distributing to the relevant press contacts.
- Media Follow-Up – Work with PSM and its clients to follow up with targeted media contacts to help PSM meet its goals of getting clients interviewed on TV or radio, bylining an article for a publication, securing interviews, getting clients on select podcasts and other positive media coverage designed to build PSM clients’ name recognition.
